The business

Labcorp Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LH) operates as a global leader in laboratory services, providing diagnostic testing and drug development support to healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and patients worldwide. The company maintains its corporate presence at www.labcorp.com and employs nearly 71,000 people across approximately 17 countries, serving clients in roughly 100 nations.

The company operates through two primary segments. The Diagnostics Laboratories segment, or Dx, generated 78 percent of 2025 revenues totaling $10.9 billion and provides comprehensive clinical laboratory testing through a network exceeding 2,200 patient service centers and 7,000 in-office phlebotomists across North America. Dx offers routine and specialty testing services including blood chemistry analyses, genetic testing, oncology diagnostics, women's health testing, and drug monitoring. The Biopharma Laboratory Services segment, or BLS, contributed 22 percent of revenues at $3.1 billion and serves pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and diagnostic companies globally through early development research laboratories and central laboratory operations supporting clinical trials across approximately 100 countries.

During 2025, the company performed more than 750 million tests and supported approximately 85 percent of new drugs and therapeutic products approved by the FDA. The company's revenue composition reflects its diversified customer base, with third-party payers representing 37 percent of Dx revenues, clients including physicians and health systems at 23 percent, patients at 10 percent, and Medicare and Medicaid at 8 percent. BLS revenues derive from pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostic companies, with 59 percent generated internationally and 41 percent from the United States.

Labcorp's competitive positioning stems from its comprehensive test menu exceeding 130 new tests launched in 2025, technology-enabled platforms including digital pathology solutions and artificial intelligence-powered test selection tools, and integrated logistics capabilities. The company maintains ISO certifications across multiple laboratories and operates one of the world's largest automated clinical trial sample collection facilities. In 2025, the company invested $582 million in strategic acquisitions, including a minority stake in SYNLAB, a European diagnostic services leader, while maintaining a strong capital deployment strategy focused on organic growth, facility expansion, and shareholder returns.

Fund ownership counts N-PORT filers only, so it is a floor rather than a census — pensions, insurers and direct holders are not visible here, and the remainder is not “held by individuals”.

Fund ownership is a subset of institutional 13F ownership — the two describe overlapping populations and must not be added together.
