Amentum was formed on September 27, 2024, through a merger between legacy Amentum and a spin-off of Jacobs Solutions Inc.'s Critical Mission Solutions business and portions of its Divergent Solutions business, bringing together two premier government services companies with complementary capabilities developed over more than 100 years.
