The company owns and operates six community banks across central, north-central, and south-central Iowa, including First National Bank in Ames, State Bank & Trust Co. in Nevada, Boone Bank & Trust Co., Reliance State Bank in Story City, United Bank & Trust Co. in Marshalltown, and Iowa State Savings Bank in Creston. These subsidiary banks serve customers across Boone, Clarke, Hancock, Marshall, Polk, Story, Taylor, and Union counties.
The company's primary revenue sources include net interest income from lending activities, investment income, wealth management fees, service charges on deposits, merchant and card fees, and gains on loan sales. The Banks maintain a diversified loan portfolio comprising approximately 51 percent commercial loans, 23 percent agricultural loans, and 25 percent residential real estate loans, with the remaining one percent in consumer loans.
