The company designs, manufactures, and sells innovative medical devices and technologies that aid clinicians in treating patients with cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnoses. Founded in 1988, AngioDynamics has grown through a combination of internal development and strategic acquisitions that have expanded its product portfolio significantly over the decades. The company operates through two reportable segments: Med Tech and Med Device. The Med Tech segment includes advanced ablation and atherectomy systems such as the Auryon Atherectomy System for peripheral arterial disease treatment, the NanoKnife IRE Ablation System for soft tissue ablation, the Solero Microwave Tissue Ablation System, and various thrombectomy and thrombolytic devices including the AngioVac venous drainage system and AlphaVac mechanical aspiration device. The Med Device segment encompasses a comprehensive portfolio of peripheral interventional products, including angiographic catheters, guidewires, drainage catheters, and micropuncture kits, as well as implantable vascular access ports featuring proprietary technologies like BioFlo Endexo and Vortex, and venous insufficiency treatment systems including the VenaCure EVLT laser platform for varicose vein treatment.

The company maintains a direct sales force in the United States and utilizes a combination of direct sales and distributor relationships internationally. AngioDynamics serves interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, urologists, interventional and surgical oncologists, and critical care nurses across multiple healthcare settings. As of May 31, 2026, the company employed approximately 632 full-time employees. The company's manufacturing operations are certified to ISO 13485 standards and participate in the Medical Device Single Audit Program, enabling compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions including the United States, European Union, Canada, Japan, Australia, and Brazil.
