Astronics Corporation (NASDAQ: ATRO) is a leading provider of advanced technologies to the global aerospace, defense, and electronics industries. The company operates through two reportable segments: Aerospace and Test Systems. The Aerospace segment designs and manufactures products including lighting and safety systems, electrical power generation and distribution systems, seat motion systems, aircraft structures, avionics products, and systems certification services. The Test Systems segment designs, develops, manufactures and maintains automated test systems supporting the aerospace and defense, communications, and mass transit industries, as well as training and simulation devices for commercial and military applications.
In 2025, the Aerospace segment generated 75% of sales from the commercial transport market, 15% from military aircraft, 9% from general aviation, and 1% from other markets. The company maintains principal operations in the United States, Canada, France, and Germany, with engineering offices in Ukraine and India. As of December 31, 2025, Astronics employed approximately 2,700 full-time employees, with roughly 2,100 in the United States and 600 internationally.
The company serves a diverse customer base including airframe manufacturers, aircraft operators such as airlines, U.S. Department of Defense branches, and prime government contractors. Boeing represented approximately 10.4% of consolidated sales in 2025. Astronics maintains a consolidated backlog of $674.5 million as of December 31, 2025, with the Aerospace segment representing $600.8 million and Test Systems representing $73.7 million.
