AXIS Capital Holdings Limited (NYSE: AXS) is a global specialty insurer and reinsurer that provides risk-transfer products and services to businesses, insurers and other clients. Its two underwriting platforms are AXIS Insurance and AXIS Re, reported as insurance and reinsurance segments. Insurance offers specialty coverage across professional lines, property, liability, cyber, marine and aviation, accident and health, and credit and political risk, distributed mainly through wholesale and retail brokers, with some products sold through managing general agencies and underwriters. Reinsurance provides worldwide proportional and excess-of-loss protection to insurance companies across lines including liability, professional lines, motor, accident and health, credit and surety, agriculture, and marine. In 2025, the insurance segment generated $7.18 billion and reinsurance generated $2.47 billion in gross premiums written. At December 31, 2025, the company had $34.5 billion in total assets and $7.7 billion in total capital. Its website is www.axiscapital.com.
