The company's primary operational focus centers on developing its multi-zone resource play in the Delaware Basin, with principal targets in the Wolfcamp and Bone Spring formations. As of December 31, 2025, Battalion's estimated total proved oil and natural gas reserves were approximately 59.7 million barrels of oil equivalent, consisting of 31.8 million barrels of oil, 11.6 million barrels of natural gas liquids and 97.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas. Approximately 60 percent of proved reserves were classified as proved developed, with the company maintaining operational control of 99.8 percent of its proved reserves.
The company employs a risk management strategy utilizing derivative instruments including fixed-price swaps, costless collars, basis swaps and WTI NYMEX roll agreements to hedge commodity price exposure. Under its credit agreement, Battalion is required to hedge approximately 85 to 50 percent of anticipated oil and natural gas production, respectively, on a rolling four-year basis.
In February 2026, Battalion completed the sale of its West Quito Assets for $60.1 million in net proceeds. Subsequently, the company acquired 7,090 net acres in Ward County, Texas through an all-stock transaction and completed a private placement equity offering raising $15.0 million in gross proceeds.
