The company also operates BRB Financial Group, Inc., which delivers wealth and trust management services, and maintains a minority investment in Hammond Insurance Agency, Incorporated for property and casualty insurance offerings. The Bank traces its origins to Page Valley Bank of Virginia, established in 1893, and currently operates twenty-seven full-service banking offices spanning from the Shenandoah Valley across Virginia's Piedmont region through Richmond and into the coastal peninsulas and Hampton Roads area, with additional presence in central North Carolina. The company serves businesses, professionals, consumers, nonprofits, and municipalities across its geographic footprint.

Blue Ridge's core banking products include checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, commercial and industrial loans, residential and commercial mortgages, home equity loans, consumer installment loans, and credit cards, complemented by online, telephone, and mobile banking services. The wealth management division provides personal and corporate trust services, estate planning, estate settlement, and trust administration. The company generates revenue primarily from interest income on lending activities, supplemented by investment income, deposit transaction fees, and wealth management service fees.

As of December 31, 2025, the company maintained total assets of approximately $2.43 billion, gross loans of approximately $1.87 billion, deposits of approximately $1.91 billion, and stockholders' equity of approximately $323.7 million. The company employed 292 full-time and 10 part-time employees. The company historically operated banking-as-a-service partnerships with fintech providers but exited these depository operations during 2024 and expects to complete its exit from indirect fintech lending relationships by 2026.
