What C4 Therapeutics, Inc. does

In the company’s own words

C4 Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCP) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing targeted protein degradation, or TPD, science to develop novel small-molecule medicines. The company's website is www.c4therapeutics.com.

C4 Therapeutics leverages its proprietary TORPEDO platform to design and optimize protein degraders that harness the body's natural process for destroying unwanted proteins. The platform represents a collection of experimental approaches, computational methods, and tools that enable the rational design of degraders with specific properties including oral bioavailability, central nervous system penetration, enhanced potency, and selectivity. The company has developed multiple distinct proprietary Cereblon binders that facilitate the creation of degraders with desired drug-like characteristics.

The company's clinical pipeline includes two oncology degraders in development. Cemsidomide is an orally bioavailable MonoDAC degrader targeting IKZF1 and IKZF3 for the treatment of multiple myeloma, with Phase 1 data demonstrating a differentiated safety profile and compelling anti-myeloma activity. The company is advancing cemsidomide through Phase 2 trials and a Phase 1b combination study. CFT8919 is an orally bioavailable, allosteric, mutant-selective BiDAC degrader of EGFR L858R for non-small-cell lung cancer, with clinical development being conducted by collaboration partner Betta Pharma in Greater China.

Beyond its clinical programs, C4 Therapeutics is developing a discovery pipeline focused on inflammation, neuroinflammation, and neurodegeneration, with engineered degraders that achieve blood-brain barrier penetration. The company maintains strategic collaborations with Roche, Betta Pharma, and Merck KGaA to expand the reach and application of its TORPEDO platform across oncology and non-oncology indications.

The company reported a net loss of $105.0 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025. C4 Therapeutics is classified as a smaller reporting company and is not a large accelerated filer. The company is not a shell company and has filed all required reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission during the preceding twelve months.
