The company operates through four reportable segments. The Specialty Products and Solutions segment manufactures and markets solvents, waxes, customized lubricating oils, white oils, petrolatums, gels, and esters sold primarily as raw material components to industrial customers. The Performance Brands segment blends, packages, and markets high-performance products through the Royal Purple, Bel-Ray, and TruFuel brands. The Montana/Renewables segment comprises two facilities: Montana Renewables, which processes renewable feedstocks into renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuel, and renewable naphtha; and Montana Specialty Asphalt, which processes Canadian crude oil into conventional fuels and specialty asphalt. Calumet's primary operating assets include an integrated specialty products complex in Northwest Louisiana consisting of the Shreveport, Cotton Valley, and Princeton facilities with combined capacity of 83,600 barrels per day and 195 million gallons of storage capacity. Additional facilities include operations in Pennsylvania, Texas, Louisiana, and Montana. The company maintains approximately 7.0 million barrels of aggregate storage capacity across all facilities and leased locations, operates approximately 2,300 leased railcars for product distribution, and owns a 150,000-barrel terminal in Burnham, Illinois.

In fiscal 2025, Calumet sold over 1,900 specialty and fuels products to approximately 2,400 customers, with no single customer representing more than ten percent of consolidated sales. The company's competitive strengths include long-term customer relationships, a diverse product portfolio, leading high-growth brands, flexible and integrated facility capabilities, and an experienced management team. In July 2024, Calumet completed a conversion from a limited partnership structure to a Delaware corporation.
