CarParts.com, Inc. (Nasdaq Capital Market: PRTS) operates as a technology-enabled eCommerce company dedicated to simplifying how drivers and professional customers shop for aftermarket automotive parts and accessories. The company maintains its corporate website at www.carparts.com/investor and serves as a one-stop destination for vehicle repair, upgrade, and maintenance needs through its mission of "Empowering Drivers Along Their Journey."
The company sells aftermarket automotive products through multiple channels, including its flagship website at www.carparts.com, a mobile app launched in the third quarter of 2023, a wholesale platform at www.carpartswholesale.com, and select third-party online marketplaces including eBay and Amazon. CarParts.com provides customers access to more than 1.5 million products spanning replacement parts, hard parts for maintenance and repair, and performance upgrades and accessories. Third-party marketplace sales represented 33.5% of total sales in fiscal year 2025.
Founded in 1995 as U.S. Auto Parts Network, Inc., the company rebranded as CarParts.com in July 2020 and consolidated its web presence into a single eCommerce destination. The company acquired the JC Whitney brand in 2010 and operates under multiple proprietary brands including Evan Fischer and Garage-Pro, positioned to serve distinct customer segments and sales channels. In fall 2025, CarParts.com launched Spark, an AI-powered shopping assistant designed to help customers discover products and complete purchases with greater confidence.
The company operates four distribution centers across the United States totaling over one million square feet of fulfillment space, including a state-of-the-art semi-automated facility opened in Las Vegas in June 2024. CarParts.com sources house brand products primarily from manufacturers in the Asia-Pacific region and branded products through drop-ship arrangements with distributors in the United States and Europe. As of January 3, 2026, the company employed 741 employees in the United States and 445 in the Philippines, though the Philippines subsidiary was sold on January 27, 2026. The company maintains a diversified, primarily digital marketing strategy focused on performance-driven customer acquisition and customer retention through email, SMS, and mobile app notifications.
