In the company’s own words
Ceribell, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBLL) is a medical technology company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions through its proprietary Ceribell System, a point-of-care EEG platform designed specifically for acute care settings. The company's website is www.ceribell.com.
The Ceribell System combines highly portable, rapidly deployable hardware with sophisticated artificial intelligence-powered algorithms to enable rapid diagnosis and continuous monitoring of patients with neurological conditions. The system consists of disposable, flexible headbands and headcaps called Wearables and a pocket-sized, rechargeable battery-operated recorder that captures and wirelessly transmits EEG signals. The system integrates with a proprietary web-based portal allowing neurologists to remotely access EEG data in real time from any web-enabled device.
The company generates recurring revenue from two primary sources: the sale of single-use disposable Wearables and monthly subscription fees for use of Clarity, recorders, and the portal. Clarity, the company's proprietary seizure detection algorithm, received FDA 510(k) clearance in May 2023 as the first device cleared for diagnosing electrographic status epilepticus in adult patients at risk for seizure. In December 2025, the FDA granted 510(k) clearance for the company's proprietary delirium monitoring solution, the first and only FDA-cleared delirium detection and monitoring device. In January 2026, the company announced FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for its Large Vessel Occlusion stroke detection and monitoring solution in development.
As of December 31, 2025, the Ceribell System has been adopted by more than 600 hospitals ranging from top academic centers to small community hospitals. The company employs 327 people and operates in the United States with international expansion plans. For the year ended December 31, 2025, the company recognized revenue of $89.1 million with a gross margin of 88 percent. The company's patent portfolio contains 58 total issued utility patents and pending utility patent applications, including patents solely owned by the company, exclusively licensed from Stanford University, and co-owned with Stanford University.
