ChargePoint operates as a comprehensive EV charging ecosystem provider, offering integrated hardware, software, and services rather than owning and operating charging stations directly. This asset-light model allows the company to focus capital on research and development while empowering customers to manage charging networks under their own brands.
The company's core offerings span three primary areas. ChargePoint's Networked Charging Systems include Level 2 AC charging stations for commercial, fleet, and residential applications, as well as Level 3 DC fast chargers capable of charging vehicles to 80 percent battery capacity in approximately 20 minutes. The ChargePoint Platform comprises cloud-based software solutions including the Charger Management System (CMS) for station owners and the eMSP Service for e-Mobility Service Providers.
