What CitroTech Inc. does

In the company’s own words

CitroTech Inc. (CITR) is an environmentally sustainable specialty chemical company focused on fire inhibitor products serving the wildland fire, residential home protection, and wood products industries across the United States and Canada. The company website is www.citrotech.com.

CitroTech develops and commercializes proprietary fire retardant and fire suppression formulations based on its core chemistry utilizing tripotassium citrate as the active fire-inhibiting agent. The company's flagship CitroTech product is the first and only fire inhibitor recognized by the EPA as safe for the environment under the EPA Safer Choice Program and holds UL Greenguard Gold certification. The company operates through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mighty Fire Breaker LLC, which holds the intellectual property portfolio encompassing patents, trademarks, and proprietary manufacturing processes.

The company's business model encompasses three primary market segments: direct fire inhibitor sales to lumber and wood product companies, home and commercial users, and fire departments; proactive wildfire defense systems deployed under the CitroSafe Systems brand, which are self-contained sprinkler installations utilizing the company's patented product; and wood coating products for treating dimensional lumber and engineered wood products to achieve Class A fire ratings. The company blends its product in Oceanside, California, and ships directly to customers.

CitroTech holds a portfolio of 37 issued U.S. patents organized across five technology families covering fire inhibitor biochemical composition, application methods, wildfire defense systems, wireless communication networks and GPS tracking, and Class A fire-protected wood product manufacturing. The company also owns 21 federally registered trademarks including CitroTech, Mighty Fire Breaker, and CitroSafe Systems.

As of December 31, 2025, the company employed 14 full-time employees. During 2025, CitroTech generated revenue of $2.4 million compared to $808,372 in 2024. The company operates in a rapidly expanding fire retardant market projected to reach $13.6 billion globally by 2034, competing against established participants with greater financial resources but differentiating itself through its environmentally safe, non-toxic formulation and comprehensive integrated defense system approach.
