The company operates through two primary segments: Outdoor and Adventure, serving outdoor enthusiasts across more than fifty countries worldwide.
The Outdoor segment, anchored by the Black Diamond brand established in 1957, specializes in high-performance climbing, skiing, and mountain sports equipment including apparel, footwear, technical backpacks, avalanche safety products, and skiing gear. The Adventure segment comprises four brands addressing the outdoor enthusiast and tradesman markets: Rhino-Rack, a designer of automotive roof racks and accessories founded in 1992; MAXTRAX, a creator of vehicle recovery boards established in 2005; TRED, which produces outdoor and recovery gear founded in 2012; and RockyMounts, a premium bicycle rack manufacturer acquired in December 2024.
Clarus maintains approximately 390 employees globally distributed across research and development, manufacturing, sales and marketing, administrative functions, and retail operations.
