In the company’s own words
Contineum Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq Global Select Market: PIPE) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing differentiated therapies for neuroscience, inflammation and immunology indications with significant unmet medical need. The company pioneers a clinical translational approach targeting biological pathways associated with specific clinical impairments to alter the course of disease.
Contineum's lead asset is PIPE-791, a novel brain-penetrant small molecule inhibitor of the lysophosphatidic acid 1 receptor that the company is developing for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic pain conditions including osteoarthritic pain and chronic low back pain. The company completed a Phase 1 healthy volunteer trial and a Phase 1b positron emission tomography trial measuring the relationship between pharmacokinetics and receptor occupancy. In December 2025, Contineum initiated a Phase 2 trial called PROPEL-IPF, a 26-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled global clinical trial expected to enroll approximately 324 subjects to evaluate efficacy, safety and tolerability of PIPE-791 in IPF patients. The company also completed enrollment in a Phase 1b chronic pain trial and anticipates top-line data in the second quarter of 2026.
The company's second drug candidate, PIPE-307, is a selective small-molecule inhibitor of the muscarinic type 1 receptor in development for depression and relapse-remitting multiple sclerosis through a collaboration with Johnson & Johnson. Contineum completed two Phase 1 trials of PIPE-307 in healthy volunteers. J&J initiated a Phase 2 trial called Moonlight-1 in December 2024 for major depressive disorder, and Contineum reported top-line data from a Phase 2 VISTA trial for RRMS in November 2025.
Contineum retains worldwide rights to its LPA1R programs and discovery portfolio while partnering with J&J for PIPE-307 development and commercialization. The company is a smaller reporting company and emerging growth company. As of February 27, 2026, Contineum had 37,336,036 total shares outstanding.
