In the company’s own words
Cyngn Inc. (Nasdaq: CYN) is an autonomous vehicle technology company focused on developing and deploying autonomous driving solutions for industrial applications. The company's website is located at https://cyngn.com.
The company develops DriveMod, a full-stack autonomous driving software platform designed to be vehicle-agnostic and compatible with sensors and components from leading hardware technology providers. DriveMod enables industrial vehicles to operate autonomously across diverse environments and use cases, including material handling, warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution operations. The company's Enterprise Autonomy Suite (EAS) comprises three complementary components: DriveMod for on-vehicle autonomous driving capabilities, Cyngn Insight for fleet management and data analytics, and Cyngn Evolve for AI and machine learning development and simulation infrastructure.
Cyngn has demonstrated the extensibility of its autonomous driving technology by deploying DriveMod on more than ten different vehicle form factors, ranging from tow tractors and floor scrubbers to forklifts and 14-seat shuttles. The company has commercially released autonomous vehicles including the DriveMod Stockchaser with 6,000-pound towing capacity and the DriveMod MT160 Tugger with 12,000-pound towing capacity developed in partnership with Motrec. Commercial deployments include customers such as John Deere, G&J Pepsi, Coats Automotive, and US Continental.
The company operates through strategic partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including BYD and Motrec, leveraging their established sales, distribution, and service channels. Cyngn's business model generates revenue through deployment services, EAS subscriptions, and DriveMod customization and non-recurring engineering contracts. As of March 26, 2026, the company employed 62 full-time employees, primarily based in Silicon Valley, California. The company has secured 24 granted U.S. patents related to its autonomous driving technology and continues to expand its intellectual property portfolio. Cyngn targets industrial sectors facing labor shortages, rising labor costs, and workplace safety challenges by providing autonomous solutions that address these operational pressures.
