Daily Journal Corporation (NASDAQ: DJCO) operates two distinct business segments that together serve legal, judicial, and media markets across the United States and internationally. The company maintains its investor relations presence at https://ir.dailyjournal.com/.

The Traditional Business comprises newspaper publishing and related information services, operating ten newspapers of general circulation based primarily in California and Arizona. The Los Angeles Daily Journal and San Francisco Daily Journal, established in 1888 and 1893 respectively, form the cornerstone of this segment, focusing on legal news and serving the legal professional community. Additional publications include the Daily Commerce, the Daily Recorder, the Inter-City Express, San Jose Post-Record, Orange County Reporter, the Daily Transcript, Business Journal, and the Record Reporter in Phoenix. These newspapers generate revenue through advertising, circulation subscriptions, and public notice advertising services. The Traditional Business also publishes specialized information services including court rules publications, judicial profiles, and continuing legal education materials. This segment contributed approximately 20 percent of total revenues in fiscal 2025.

Journal Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary, supplies case management software systems and related services to courts, prosecutors, public defenders, probation departments, and other justice agencies across approximately 37 states and internationally. The company's core eSeries Framework technology powers browser-based case processing systems including eCourt, eProsecutor, eDefender, and eSupervision, complemented by eFile-it and ePay-it solutions for electronic filing and traffic citation payments. Journal Technologies generates revenues through software licensing and maintenance fees, consulting services for implementation and training, and hosting services. This segment represented approximately 80 percent of total revenues in fiscal 2025.

The company employed approximately 415 full-time employees and contractors as of September 30, 2025, with operations based primarily in California and Utah, plus international presence in Australia and British Columbia. The company holds substantial marketable securities valued at approximately 493 million dollars, providing financial flexibility for operations and strategic investments. Daily Journal Corporation maintains no collective bargaining agreements and considers employee relations favorable.
