The company maintains two reportable segments: the Retail segment and the Brand Portfolio segment, which together generate revenue through direct-to-consumer stores, e-commerce platforms, and wholesale distribution channels.
The Retail segment operates multiple banners including DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse in the United States and Canada, The Shoe Co. in Canada, and Rubino in Quebec, Canada, following the April 2024 acquisition of Rubino Shoes Inc. This segment offers a broad assortment of dress, casual, and athletic footwear and accessories for women, men, and children through approximately 13,000 associates worldwide, with roughly 11,000 employed in the United States. The Retail segment generated 89 percent of its net sales from VIP reward program members, who numbered 30 million at fiscal year-end 2025.
The Brand Portfolio segment designs, develops, and sources footwear and accessories under exclusive and licensed brands for wholesale distribution to retailers, the Retail segment, and international distributors. The segment also operates direct-to-consumer e-commerce sites for Vince Camuto, Keds, and Topo brands. The company holds a 40 percent equity investment in ABG-Camuto LLC, a joint venture owning intellectual property rights for Vince Camuto and other brands.
