What Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp. does
In the company’s own words
Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: DFLI) manufactures non-toxic deep cycle lithium-ion batteries designed for energy storage applications across consumer and commercial markets. The company operates through its Battle Born brand, which serves recreational vehicles, marine vessels, industrial applications, and heavy-duty trucking markets with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery systems that replace traditional lead-acid batteries.
The company's core product portfolio includes LFP battery packs in various configurations, integrated battery management systems, integrated heating capability for cold-temperature operation, and complementary power system components such as inverters, chargers, and power management solutions. Battle Born products are sold through multiple channels including original equipment manufacturers, distributors, dealers, fleet operators, and direct-to-consumer relationships. The company also operates the Wakespeed brand, offering advanced alternator regulation and charging control solutions acquired through prior asset purchases.
Dragonfly Energy designs and assembles the majority of its battery products in the United States at its 390,240 square foot facility in Reno, Nevada, which the company relocated to in November 2024 to increase production capacity. The company sources lithium iron phosphate cells from carefully selected suppliers and maintains long-term supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply and product reliability. For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, the company sold 43,129 batteries and generated revenues of $58.6 million.
The company's competitive strengths include proprietary dry-electrode battery cell manufacturing technology and solid-state cell technology under development, an extensive patent portfolio with 50 issued patents and 38 pending applications, established relationships with major OEMs including Airstream, Tiffin Motorhomes, Forest River, and THOR Industries, and a proven go-to-market strategy combining OEM partnerships with direct-to-consumer brand awareness. In July 2024, Dragonfly signed a brand licensing agreement with Stryten Energy expected to generate $30 million in licensing revenues over seven years, with both licensing and contract manufacturing revenues beginning in 2025.
