Empire operates through four wholly-owned subsidiaries: Empire New Mexico LLC, Empire North Dakota LLC, Empire Texas LLC, and Empire Louisiana LLC. The company functions as a single operating segment engaged in the exploration, development, and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids.
The company's primary business strategy centers on cost-effectively optimizing well production, reducing unit operating costs, and targeting proved developed producing acquisitions in predictable fields with historically low production decline and long reserve lives. Empire's portfolio consists of approximately 1,077 gross wells (753 net wells) across its operating regions.
