In the company’s own words
Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) is an American energy company and the leading innovator in designing, manufacturing, and providing zinc-based battery energy storage systems sourced and manufactured in the United States. The company's website is located at https://investors.eose.com/.
Eos develops and manufactures the Znyth battery energy storage system, a safe, non-flammable alternative to lithium-ion batteries designed for utility-scale, microgrid, and commercial and industrial applications. The company's flagship product, the Z3 battery module, represents the only U.S.-designed and manufactured battery module offering utilities, independent power producers, renewable developers, and commercial and industrial customers a viable alternative to lithium-ion batteries for three to twelve-hour or longer discharge-duration applications. The Z3 incorporates a simplified design with approximately fifty percent fewer cells and ninety-eight percent fewer welds per battery module compared to prior generation products, while delivering approximately twice the energy density per square foot.
In 2025, Eos introduced DawnOS, a software platform designed to enhance the value, reliability, and safety of its battery energy storage systems through advanced control capabilities and real-time management of multiple battery modules. In 2026, the company introduced Eos Indensity, an energy storage architecture targeting up to one gigawatt-hour per acre through stackable core units integrating Z3 battery modules with DawnOS controls.
The company operates a manufacturing facility in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, which produces DC energy blocks, and maintains an additional facility in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, expected to become operational in 2026. As of December 31, 2025, Eos employed 787 full-time employees. The company's primary geographic market is North America, and it operates as a single operating and reportable segment.
Eos benefits from a broad intellectual property portfolio including thirty-one patent families and two hundred two patents pending, issued, or published across thirty countries. The company's key patents related to its current and future generation products are not scheduled to expire until 2035 or later. Raw materials used in Z3 production include zinc halide salts, felt, resin, titanium, and conductive polymer, all widely available commodity inputs with established supply chains.
