Farmers National Banc Corp. The company maintains its principal executive offices and website at http://www.farmersbankgroup.com.
The company operates through two primary business segments: the Bank segment and the Trust segment. The Farmers National Bank of Canfield, a full-service national banking association, serves as the primary operating subsidiary and offers commercial and retail banking services including checking and savings accounts, time deposits, commercial and mortgage loans, home equity products, automated teller machines, internet banking, brokerage services, and other traditional banking products. Farmers Trust Company provides comprehensive personal and corporate trust services encompassing estate settlement, trust administration, employee benefit plans, and retirement consulting services. The company also operates Farmers National Insurance, LLC, which offers various insurance products through licensed representatives, and Farmers of Canfield Investment Company, which invests in municipal securities.
As of December 31, 2025, Farmers National Banc Corp. employed 706 full-time equivalent employees across its operations. The company operates five trust offices located in Boardman, Canton, Howland, Wooster, and Fairview Park, Ohio, with banking operations concentrated in northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
In March 2026, the company completed a merger with Middlefield Banc Corp., whereby Middlefield merged into Farmers in an all-stock transaction with Middlefield shareholders receiving 2.6 shares of Farmers common stock for each share of Middlefield stock held. Following the merger, The Middlefield Banking Company merged into The Farmers National Bank of Canfield, creating a combined banking organization with expanded geographic reach and operational scale.
The company operates as a financial holding company regulated by the Federal Reserve Board and maintains its subsidiary bank under regulation by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
