The company traces its banking heritage to the National Bank of Geneva, founded in 1817, and was incorporated as a holding company in 1931.
The company operates through two primary subsidiaries. Five Star Bank, a New York-chartered institution, serves as the core banking operation with 48 full-service branches across 14 New York counties and loan production offices in Baltimore, Maryland and Syracuse, New York. The bank offers a full spectrum of deposit products including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit, alongside diverse lending products spanning commercial business loans, commercial mortgages, residential real estate loans, home equity products, and consumer indirect automobile loans. As of December 31, 2025, the bank maintained total assets of $6.24 billion, deposits of $5.29 billion, and a loan portfolio of $4.61 billion.
