The company operates through a network of subsidiaries and publicly-traded partner companies, leveraging partnerships with leading academic institutions and pharmaceutical enterprises including City of Hope National Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, AstraZeneca, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries.
The company's primary revenue source derives from Journey Medical Corporation, a partner company that markets branded dermatology products including Emrosi for rosacea, Qbrexza for hyperhidrosis, Accutane for severe acne, Amzeeq and Zilxi for acne and rosacea, Exelderm for fungal infections, Targadox for acne, and Luxamend for wound care. Fortress also holds equity positions in publicly-traded subsidiaries Mustang Bio, Avenue Therapeutics, and Checkpoint Therapeutics, which was acquired by Sun Pharma in May 2025.
