What FVCBankcorp, Inc. does

In the company’s own words

FVCBankcorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: FVCB) operates as a bank holding company headquartered in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area through its subsidiary FVCbank, a Virginia-chartered commercial bank. The company website is https://www.fvcbank.com.

FVCBankcorp provides comprehensive commercial and retail banking services primarily to small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations, professional service entities, and their owners and employees throughout the greater Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas. The bank emphasizes relationship-driven, personalized banking with high-touch service and customized financial solutions rather than a high-fee model.

The company's lending portfolio is concentrated in commercial real estate loans, which comprise 61 percent of total loans and include owner-occupied properties, investor-owned commercial properties, and multifamily residential real estate. Commercial loans, including government contract financing and a warehouse lending facility with Atlantic Coast Mortgage, represent 23 percent of the portfolio. Construction loans comprise 8 percent, while consumer residential loans and other products make up the remainder. The bank has developed specialized expertise in government contract financing, serving contractors and subcontractors with significant federal government revenues. FVCBankcorp also provides banking services to licensed cannabis industry operators across Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Deposit products include interest and noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, certificates of deposit, savings accounts, and money market accounts, complemented by treasury management services, digital and mobile banking platforms, and merchant services through third-party partnerships.

Since FVCbank's establishment in November 2007, the company has grown organically through de novo branch expansion and banker acquisition, supplemented by two whole-bank acquisitions: 1st Commonwealth Bank of Virginia in 2012 and Colombo Bank in 2018. The company maintains 119 full-time employees and six part-time employees as of December 31, 2025. FVCBankcorp operates as one of the few remaining locally owned and managed independent community banks in Northern Virginia, positioning itself to compete effectively against larger regional and national institutions by offering superior personalized service and customized products to its target market.
