In the company’s own words
Gibraltar Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROCK) operates as a leading manufacturer and provider of products and services for the residential, agtech, and infrastructure markets across the United States and Canada. The company's website is www.gibraltar1.com.
The company operates through three primary reportable segments. The Residential segment manufactures and sells roofing accessories, metal roofing products and services, rain dispersion products, roof and foundation ventilation, mail and package delivery solutions, and outdoor living space products. These offerings are distributed through major retail home centers, building material wholesalers, distributors, roofing contractors, and online channels. The Agtech segment designs, engineers, manufactures, and constructs controlled environmental agriculture facilities for commercial growers, as well as structural canopies for quick-serve restaurants, convenience stores, and fuel stations. The Infrastructure segment provides engineered solutions for bridges, highways, and airfields, including structural bearings, expansion joints, pavement seals, and elastomeric concrete products.
In February 2026, Gibraltar completed the transformative acquisition of OmniMax International, LLC, a leading manufacturer of residential roofing accessories and rainwater management systems, for $1.335 billion in cash. This acquisition significantly expanded the company's presence in its largest and most profitable residential segment and increased the company's manufacturing footprint substantially.
As of December 31, 2025, Gibraltar operated thirty-four facilities comprising twenty-nine manufacturing locations across eighteen states and Canada, plus five offices including a sourcing operation in China. Following the OmniMax acquisition, the company operates forty-four manufacturing facilities across twenty-three states and Canada. The company employed approximately 2,300 employees at year-end 2025, expanding to approximately 3,300 employees post-acquisition.
Gibraltar's business strategy centers on three core pillars: Business System, Portfolio Management, and Organization Development. The company maintains strong positions in attractive end markets by emphasizing innovation, quality performance, and customer relationships. The company's primary raw materials consist of flat-rolled steel, structural steel, plate steel, and aluminum, sourced from North American mills and service centers. One customer, a major home improvement retailer, represented twelve percent of consolidated net sales in 2025.
