The company conducts operations through three reportable segments: Wholesale Sales & Ancillary Services, Direct-to-Consumer, and Secured Lending. The Wholesale Sales & Ancillary Services segment operates as a wholesaler of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion and related products, providing customized financing programs, secure storage, and logistics services. This segment includes two owned mints—Silver Towne Mint and Sunshine Minting—and operates trading offices in major financial centers including Hong Kong and Singapore. The Direct-to-Consumer segment sells precious metals to retail customers through multiple consumer-facing subsidiaries and brands, including JM Bullion, Goldline, Stack's Bowers Galleries, Monex Deposit Company, and Silver Gold Bull. The Secured Lending segment originates and acquires commercial loans collateralized by bullion, numismatic coins, and graded sports cards, with an aggregate loan portfolio of approximately $115.1 million as of June 30, 2026.

Gold.com maintains approximately 4.7 million total retail customers and 0.8 million active retail customers. The company employs 1,355 people across North America, Asia, and Europe, with 1,246 employees in North America, 102 in Asia, and 7 in Europe. The company operates secure storage facilities in Las Vegas and Dallas, with additional depository relationships in major financial centers worldwide.

Founded in 1965 as A-Mark Precious Metals, the company has expanded significantly through strategic acquisitions including Goldline in 2017, JM Bullion in 2021, Spectrum Group International in 2025, Monex Deposit Company in 2026, and Sunshine Minting in 2026. The company maintains long-standing relationships with major sovereign mints including the United States Mint, with an authorized purchaser relationship spanning over 35 years. Gold.com's competitive advantages include vertical integration across trading, distribution, logistics, minting, storage, and financing; an extensive customer base spanning multiple sectors; proprietary technology platforms; and a dealer network comprising more than a thousand independent precious metals companies.
