What Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. does
In the company’s own words
Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. (NYSE: HGV) operates as a global timeshare company engaged in developing, marketing, selling, managing and operating timeshare resorts and vacation ownership interests primarily under the Hilton Grand Vacations brand. The company's website is www.hiltongrandvacations.com.
HGV operates across two reportable segments: real estate sales and financing, and resort operations and club management. The real estate sales and financing segment generates revenue from vacation ownership interval sales, both of owned inventory and through fee-for-service arrangements with third-party developers, as well as consumer financing activities. The resort operations and club management segment derives revenue from resort management services, club membership and transaction fees, and rental of available inventory.
As of December 31, 2025, HGV operates over 200 properties located across the United States, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Asia, with significant concentration in Florida, Europe, Hawaii, South Carolina, California, Arizona, Nevada, and Virginia. The company serves more than 720,000 members across its Club offerings. HGV employs more than 22,300 team members globally across timeshare resorts, call centers, sales centers, and corporate locations.
The company's core product is deeded and trust-based vacation ownership interests that provide purchasers with annual or biennial allotments of vacation time or points redeemable across the company's resort network and affiliated properties. Members benefit from exchange flexibility through HGV Max, which enables point usage across Hilton's portfolio of over 9,000 properties representing 25 brands, as well as external exchange programs and experiential vacation options.
HGV became an independent publicly traded company on January 3, 2017, following Hilton Worldwide Holdings' tax-free spin-off. The company significantly expanded through the August 2021 acquisition of Diamond Resorts International and the January 2024 acquisition of Bluegreen Vacations Holding Corporation for $1.6 billion. These acquisitions substantially broadened HGV's property portfolio, membership base, and geographic reach. The company maintains exclusive rights to use Hilton intellectual property and data for its vacation ownership business through December 31, 2051, providing substantial brand value and competitive positioning.
