Home Federal Bancorp, Inc. of Louisiana (NASDAQ: HFBL) operates as a savings and loan holding company providing community banking services primarily in northwest Louisiana. The company's sole subsidiary is Home Federal Bank, a federally chartered stock savings bank originally organized in 1924 as Home Building and Loan Association. The bank reorganized into a mutual holding company structure in 2005 and adopted its current name in 2009 as part of a strategic initiative to strengthen its community bank positioning.

Home Federal Bank maintains eleven full-service branch offices serving the Shreveport-Bossier City-Minden combined statistical area across Caddo, Bossier, and Webster Parishes in Louisiana. The bank expanded its footprint in February 2023 through the acquisition of First National Bank of Benton, adding a branch office in Benton, Louisiana. The company employs 76 full-time and part-time employees across its operations.

The bank's business model centers on attracting deposits from the general public and originating loans secured primarily by real estate. As of June 30, 2025, the company maintained a net loan portfolio of $461.0 million representing approximately 75.64 percent of total assets.
