Founded in 1873, Horizon Bank originally operated as a national association before converting to an Indiana commercial bank in 2017. The company has expanded its geographic reach and financial scale over the past two decades through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions, including transactions with Alliance Financial Corporation, American Trust & Savings Bank, Heartland, LaPorte Bancorp, and Salin Bank.
