Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOV) is one of the nation's largest residential homebuilders, operating through subsidiaries that design, construct, market, and sell single-family detached homes, attached townhomes, condominiums, urban infill, and active lifestyle homes in planned residential developments. Founded in 1959 by Kevork Hovnanian and incorporated in New Jersey in 1967, the company has delivered in excess of 382,000 homes since its inception, including 6,431 homes in fiscal 2025. The company maintains its corporate offices at www.khov.com.
Hovnanian operates through two primary business segments: homebuilding and financial services. The homebuilding operations are organized into three reportable geographic segments: Northeast, Southeast, and West. In fiscal 2025, the Northeast segment generated $1.15 billion in housing revenues from 1,968 homes delivered at an average sales price of $582,696. The Southeast segment contributed $349 million from 704 homes at an average price of $496,375, while the West segment produced $1.36 billion from 2,824 homes at an average price of $480,423. The company currently offers homes for sale in 140 communities across 27 markets in 13 states, with base prices ranging from $182,000 to $1,191,000.
The financial services segment provides mortgage loans and title services to homebuyers, with 80 percent of noncash home buyers obtaining mortgages from the company's mortgage banking subsidiary in fiscal 2025. The company employs 1,891 full-time associates as of October 31, 2025, with 1,194 in homebuilding operations, 186 in financial services, and 511 in corporate operations.
