In the company’s own words
iBio, Inc. (NASDAQ: IBIO) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop precision antibodies for obesity, cardiometabolic, and cardiopulmonary diseases. The company's website is located at http://www.ibioinc.com/.
The company operates through its proprietary AI Drug Discovery Platform, which integrates complementary technologies designed to accelerate antibody discovery, optimization, and engineering against therapeutically relevant targets, including those traditionally considered difficult to drug. The platform comprises three core components: Epitope Steering, an AI-enabled engine that directs antibody binding to precisely defined regions of target proteins; StableHu, a generative AI tool that optimizes antibodies for expression, stability, and manufacturability; and mammalian display-based multidimensional screening technology. The company also developed EngageTx technology for targeting bispecific molecules, particularly CD3-based T-cell engagers.
iBio's clinical and preclinical pipeline includes IBIO-600, a long-acting myostatin antibody currently in Phase 1 human trials following first-participant dosing in June 2026; IBIO-610, a long-acting Activin E antibody in IND-enabling studies with anticipated first-in-human trials in the first half of 2027; and IBIO-800, a myostatin and Activin A bispecific antibody in late discovery for potential use in pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. The company also collaborates with AstralBio on amylin receptor agonist antibodies and maintains preclinical programs in immuno-oncology, including TROP-2 x CD3 bispecific, EGFRvIII, and CCR8 candidates available for partnering.
The company's strategy emphasizes developing next-generation therapies addressing limitations of current GLP-1 receptor agonist treatments, prioritizing targets with strong human genetic validation, and pursuing strategic collaborations and out-licensing opportunities to generate non-dilutive revenue while maintaining focus on internal research and development. iBio maintains research and development operations at its San Diego laboratory facility, where AI scientists and biopharma researchers collaborate to compress timelines from hypothesis to clinical development.
