What ImageneBio, Inc. does
In the company’s own words
ImageneBio, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMGNB) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapeutics for patients with immunological, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases. The company was formed through the July 2025 merger of Ikena Oncology, Inc. and Inmagene Biopharmaceuticals, a privately held Cayman Islands-based biopharmaceutical company. Following the merger, Ikena changed its name to ImageneBio, Inc.
The company's lead asset is IMG-007, a non-depleting anti-OX40 monoclonal antibody designed to block receptor binding between OX40 and OX40 ligand on activated T cells. IMG-007 is engineered with a silenced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity function to avoid T cell depletion while maintaining therapeutic efficacy. The antibody has an extended half-life of approximately five weeks, potentially enabling less frequent dosing schedules. IMG-007 is currently being evaluated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, with Phase 1b/2a proof-of-concept data demonstrating clinical activity and a favorable safety profile. In Phase 1b/2a trials, 54 percent of patients achieved a 75 percent reduction in eczema area and severity index scores by week 16, with durable inhibition of inflammatory biomarkers observed through week 24.
The company is advancing a Phase 2b dose-finding study in atopic dermatitis, with topline data expected in 2027. A protocol amendment has been submitted to the FDA to enable optimized dose exposures and expand the study beyond North America. ImageneBio believes IMG-007 has potential to address multiple indications beyond atopic dermatitis, including alopecia areata, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and hidradenitis suppurativa, positioning the asset as a potential pipeline within a single product.
As of March 2, 2026, the company had 10,654,281 shares of voting common stock outstanding. ImageneBio operates as a clinical-stage company with over 150 subjects having participated in IMG-007 clinical trials to date. The company is focused on developing IMG-007 as a potential best-in-class therapeutic for immunological and inflammatory diseases where significant unmet medical needs persist.
