What Janus International Group, Inc. does
In the company’s own words
Janus International Group, Inc. (NYSE: JBI) is a leading global manufacturer and provider of turn-key self-storage, commercial, and industrial building solutions. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Temple, Georgia, the company operates eleven domestic and three international manufacturing facilities. Janus serves customers through its website at www.janusintl.com.
The company's core business encompasses the design, manufacturing, and installation of roll-up and swing doors, hallway systems, single- and multi-story steel buildings, building components, relocatable storage units known as MASS (Moveable Additional Storage Structures), facility and door automation technologies, and trucking terminal renovation and maintenance services. Janus maintains a highly integrated approach with customers throughout all project phases, including facility planning and design, construction, access control, and restoration, rebuilding, and replacement services for self-storage facilities.
Approximately 68 percent of total revenues derive from the self-storage market, which comprises both institutional facilities operated by real estate investment trusts and non-institutional facilities operated by smaller private owners. The remaining 32 percent of revenues come from the commercial industrial door market, where Janus focuses on metal commercial doors including roll-up sheet doors and rolling steel doors for warehouses, industrial facilities, and other non-residential infrastructure.
As of January 3, 2026, Janus employed 2,243 people, consisting of 1,817 full-time and part-time employees and 426 contract workers, with approximately 89 percent domestic and 11 percent international workforce representation. Approximately 58 percent of the workforce engages in manufacturing and production roles as hourly associates.
The company differentiates itself through proprietary access control technologies and software developed through its Nokē Smart Entry platform, acquired in 2018. Janus provides a comprehensive suite of products and services including architect drawings, custom fabrication, installation management, and electronic locks, delivered through its strategically positioned manufacturing and service network. Recent acquisitions include the Kiwi II Construction business in January 2026 and the T.M.C. trucking terminal renovation business in May 2024, both supporting the company's growth strategy into logical adjacencies and geographic expansion.
