Karyopharm's core business centers on the discovery, development, and commercialization of first-in-class drugs targeting nuclear export for cancer treatment. The company's lead asset, XPOVIO (selinexor), represents the first oral XPO1 inhibitor to receive FDA marketing approval, granted in July 2019.
