What KYNTRA BIO, INC. does

In the company’s own words

Kyntra Bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: KYNB) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapies in cancer biology and anemia. The company rebranded from FibroGen, Inc. in January 2026 to reflect its strategic transformation and renewed focus on oncology and associated rare disease indications. More information is available at www.kyntrabio.com.

The company's primary development pipeline centers on two major programs. FG-3246 is a potential first-in-class antibody-drug conjugate targeting CD46 for treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer in the post-ARPI, pre-chemotherapy setting. This program includes FG-3180, a companion CD46-targeted positron emission tomography imaging agent designed for patient selection and biomarker assessment. Kyntra Bio initiated a Phase 2 monotherapy dose optimization study of FG-3246 in the third quarter of 2025, with interim results expected in the second half of 2026. The company also maintains development rights to roxadustat, an orally administered hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor, for treating anemia associated with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and select other markets.

Roxadustat is currently approved in Europe, Japan, China, and numerous other countries for treating anemia in chronic kidney disease patients. In August 2025, Kyntra Bio closed the sale of its China operations to AstraZeneca Treasury Limited for total consideration of $220.4 million, comprising $85.0 million in enterprise value and $135.4 million in net cash held in China. This transaction included all roxadustat assets in China. Astellas Pharma Inc. commercializes roxadustat in Europe and Japan under separate development and commercialization license agreements.

The company's revenue has been generated primarily through collaboration agreements with Astellas and AstraZeneca for roxadustat development and commercialization. Kyntra Bio holds an exclusive option agreement with Fortis Therapeutics to acquire the company and its FG-3246 technology, with the option period extending through December 31, 2027. The company manufactures roxadustat through third-party contract manufacturers, including Shanghai SynTheAll Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for active pharmaceutical ingredient production and Catalent Pharma Solutions for drug product manufacturing.
