The company operates through its website at www.lincolnelectric.com and serves customers worldwide with innovative solutions for welding, cutting, brazing, machining, process automation, and field repair applications.

The company's product portfolio encompasses arc welding equipment, filler metals including welding and brazing consumables, cutting systems utilizing laser and plasma technology, wire feeding systems, fume control equipment, welding accessories, specialty gas regulators, mobile power equipment, wear solutions, software, and education solutions. Lincoln Electric also provides a comprehensive portfolio of automated solutions and system integration services for joining, cutting, material handling, module assembly, and end-of-line testing, alongside services in additive manufacturing, precision fabrication, wear services, upfitting, and training.

Lincoln Electric operates through three reportable segments: Americas Welding, which includes welding operations in North and South America; International Welding, encompassing operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia; and The Harris Products Group, which manages the company's global cutting, soldering, and brazing businesses, specialty gas equipment, and retail operations primarily in the United States.

The company maintains a global manufacturing footprint with wholly-owned subsidiaries operating facilities in twenty countries across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. As of December 31, 2025, Lincoln Electric employed approximately twelve thousand people worldwide. The company serves diverse end-user markets including general fabrication, energy sectors such as oil and gas and power generation, heavy industries including shipbuilding and maintenance, automotive and transportation, and structural applications in non-residential construction and infrastructure.

Lincoln Electric positions itself as the world's largest manufacturer of arc welding solutions with relatively few global broad-line competitors, though numerous smaller regional competitors exist.
