What Liquidia Corp does
In the company’s own words
Liquidia Corporation (Nasdaq Capital Market) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing treatments for patients with challenging respiratory and vascular diseases, particularly pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease. The company operates through two wholly owned subsidiaries: Liquidia Technologies, Inc. and Liquidia PAH, LLC.
The company's primary revenue-generating product is YUTREPIA, a dry powder inhalation formulation of treprostinil approved by the FDA in May 2025 for treating both PAH and PH-ILD. YUTREPIA was designed using Liquidia's proprietary PRINT particle engineering technology, which enables precise production of uniform drug particles to enhance deep lung delivery while allowing higher dose levels than competing inhaled therapies. The company also generates revenue through a promotion agreement with Sandoz Inc., under which it shares profits from sales of Sandoz's generic treprostinil injection in the United States.
Liquidia's pipeline includes L606, an investigational liposomal formulation of treprostinil licensed from Pharmosa Biopharm Inc., which is being evaluated in clinical trials for PAH and PH-ILD treatment. The company is also planning clinical studies to evaluate YUTREPIA for additional indications including pulmonary hypertension associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, progressive pulmonary fibrosis, and Raynaud's phenomenon associated with systemic sclerosis.
The company operates a 45,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Morrisville, North Carolina, where it designs and manufactures engineered drug particles using PRINT technology. Liquidia also leases a 70,131 square foot facility in Morrisville for expansion of particle fabrication capabilities. The company employs a targeted commercial field force calling on healthcare providers and key stakeholders involved in PAH and PH-ILD treatment throughout the United States.
Liquidia's website is www.liquidia.com. The company's PRINT technology platform represents a core competitive advantage, providing proprietary manufacturing capabilities and patent protection for particle engineering across multiple therapeutic applications and routes of administration.
