What LSI INDUSTRIES INC does

In the company’s own words

LSI Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: LSII) operates as a leading producer of non-residential lighting and retail display solutions serving North American markets. The company maintains its corporate presence at www.lsicorp.com and operates twenty-three manufacturing facilities across North America, employing approximately 3,000 full-time and part-time employees plus 175 agency employees as of June 2026.

The company organizes its business into two primary segments. The Lighting Segment, representing 38 percent of fiscal 2026 net sales of $266.2 million, manufactures and markets outdoor and indoor lighting fixture and controls solutions. These products serve vertical markets including refueling and convenience stores, parking facilities, quick-service restaurants, retail locations, grocery and pharmacy stores, automotive dealerships, sports courts and fields, and warehouses. The segment distributes through multiple channels including electrical distributors, agents, and direct-to-customer sales, offering customized solutions with LED technology, advanced controls including sensors and wireless dimming capabilities, and compliance with industry standards.

The Display Solutions Segment generated $423.2 million in fiscal 2026 net sales, representing 62 percent of total revenue. This segment provides custom store fixtures, interior and exterior signage, refrigerated and heated display cases, digital menu boards, and related installation services. The segment serves grocery, quick-service restaurant, convenience store, banking, and specialty retail industries. LSI strengthened this segment through strategic acquisitions including Royston Group in March 2026, Canada's Best Holdings in fiscal 2025, and EMI Industries in fiscal 2024, creating a vertically integrated provider of retail environment solutions.

The company generates approximately 93 percent of consolidated net sales within the United States, with the remainder from Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean. LSI manufactures most products using lean manufacturing principles, sourcing raw materials including steel, aluminum, LEDs, power supplies, and various graphics substrates from multiple suppliers to mitigate supply chain risk. The business model emphasizes cross-selling opportunities between segments, positioning LSI as a single-source provider for customers seeking integrated lighting and display solutions across regional and national location programs.
