The company primarily invests in transitional floating rate commercial real estate mortgage loans with an emphasis on middle-market multifamily assets. Beyond traditional first mortgage loans, Lument Finance Trust may also invest in other commercial real estate-related debt instruments including mezzanine loans, preferred equity, commercial mortgage-backed securities, fixed rate loans, construction loans and other commercial real estate debt instruments. The company finances its investments through matched term non-recourse secured borrowings, including commercial real estate collateralized loan obligations and repurchase facilities.
As of December 31, 2025, the company's mortgage loan investment portfolio consisted of 61 senior secured floating rate loans with an aggregate unpaid principal balance of $1.1 billion, with a weighted average coupon of 7.2 percent and weighted average term to maturity of 1.7 years. Approximately 92.7 percent of the portfolio was supported by multifamily assets. The company also owned three multifamily properties classified as real estate owned with an aggregate carrying value of $49.1 million.

Lument operates over 550 employees across more than 30 offices throughout the United States, providing extensive loan origination capabilities and investment management expertise.
