Founded in 1993, MicroVision pioneered laser beam scanning technology based on proprietary micro-electromechanical systems, or MEMS, and has evolved from developing augmented reality microdisplay engines into a comprehensive lidar and autonomy solutions provider. The company's core business centers on designing and supplying integrated hardware and software solutions for advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous driving, and industrial automation applications.
MicroVision's product portfolio encompasses a diverse array of solid-state lidar sensors across multiple wavelengths and architectures. The MOVIA family comprises flash-based short- to mid-range sensors, while the MAVIN represents a MEMS-based long-range solution.
