What Neuronetics, Inc. does
In the company’s own words
Neuronetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: STIM) operates as a global leader in neuroscience, delivering non-invasive mental health treatments through its primary product, the NeuroStar Advanced Therapy System, and through Greenbrook, a wholly owned subsidiary operating a network of treatment centers across the United States. The company's website is https://neurostar.com/neuronetics/.
The NeuroStar Advanced Therapy System uses transcranial magnetic stimulation to create magnetic fields that stimulate specific brain areas associated with mood regulation. The system is FDA-cleared to treat adult patients with major depressive disorder who have failed prior antidepressant medications, as an adjunct for adults with obsessive-compulsive disorder, for adolescent patients aged 15-21 with major depressive disorder, and to decrease anxiety symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder exhibiting comorbid anxiety. The company generates revenues from clinic operations, capital sales of systems, recurring treatment sessions, and service and repair contracts, with clinic and treatment session revenues representing the majority of total revenue.
Greenbrook operates 93 company-owned treatment centers across fifteen states, offering both NeuroStar Advanced Therapy and SPRAVATO, an FDA-cleared esketamine nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression and acute suicidal ideation. The acquisition of Greenbrook, completed in December 2024, created a vertically integrated organization combining Neuronetics' device expertise with Greenbrook's clinical operations and provider network.
For the year ended December 31, 2025, the company generated revenues of $149.2 million, with U.S. revenues of $146.0 million representing a 101 percent increase compared to the prior year. Clinic revenues comprised 59 percent of U.S. revenues, while treatment session revenues represented 30 percent. The company employs 658 people and estimates it has treated over 237,574 global patients with more than 8.5 million treatment sessions through December 31, 2025.
The company's intellectual property portfolio includes 62 issued or allowed patents and 17 pending patent applications worldwide, with 26 issued or allowed U.S. patents and 8 pending U.S. applications directed to TMS technology. The company maintains an extensive clinical data set supporting NeuroStar's safety and effectiveness, published across 31 peer-reviewed medical journal articles from 15 clinical studies enrolling more than 1,000 adult patients.
