The company also generates revenue from licensing operations, commercial printing services, and other branded products and services.

As of December 31, 2025, the company reported approximately 12.78 million total subscribers across its portfolio, representing the highest subscriber count in company history. Paid digital-only subscribers totaled approximately 12.21 million, with international subscribers representing approximately 26 percent of digital-only subscriptions. The company employs approximately 6,000 full-time equivalent employees, with more than 3,000 involved in journalism operations, primarily located in the United States.

Revenue generation derives principally from subscription sales and advertising. Subscription revenues encompass standalone and multiproduct bundle subscriptions to digital products as well as print subscriptions. Digital advertising represented approximately 73 percent of advertising revenues in 2025, while print advertising accounted for approximately 27 percent. The company also generates affiliate referral revenue through Wirecutter's merchant links and licensing revenue through content distribution agreements.

The Times maintains print production and distribution facilities at its College Point, New York location and operates 20 remote print sites across the United States. The international edition prints at 22 sites worldwide and distributes to approximately 65 countries and territories. The company's strategy aims to reach 15 million total subscribers by year-end 2027 through continued investment in journalism quality, audience engagement, product development, and technology infrastructure.
