What Paramount Skydance Corporation does
In the company’s own words
Paramount Skydance Corporation operates as a global media and entertainment company with a diversified portfolio spanning broadcast networks, cable channels, streaming services, and filmed entertainment production. The company's website is paramount.com.
Following the August 2025 merger of Paramount Global and Skydance Media, the company now encompasses iconic brands including Paramount Pictures, CBS Television Network, Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, Comedy Central, Showtime, and Paramount+. The organization also operates Pluto TV, a free advertising-supported streaming service, and BET+, a subscription platform targeting Black audiences. Through its international operations, Paramount maintains free-to-air networks including Network 10 in Australia and Channel 5 in the United Kingdom.
The company operates through three primary segments: TV Media, which generates revenues from broadcast and cable networks, owned television stations, and television studio operations through advertising, affiliate fees, and content licensing; Direct-to-Consumer, comprising streaming services including Paramount+, Pluto TV, and BET+ that generate subscription and advertising revenues; and Filmed Entertainment, encompassing Paramount Pictures, Skydance's animation and interactive divisions, Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Studios, and Miramax, which produce and distribute films and television content globally.
As of December 31, 2025, Paramount employed approximately 17,600 full- and part-time employees across 30 countries worldwide, with an additional 3,600 project-based staff members. The company maintains significant production infrastructure and distribution capabilities spanning theatrical releases, streaming platforms, television networks, and digital channels.
Paramount's competitive positioning derives from its extensive content library, including franchises such as Mission: Impossible and Transformers, combined with its vertically integrated distribution model across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. The company competes in intensely competitive markets against major studios, streaming services, and technology platforms for creative talent, content rights, audiences, and advertising revenues. The merger with Skydance strengthened the company's animation capabilities and expanded its content production footprint while maintaining its traditional broadcast and cable network operations.
