The Bank of Princeton provides comprehensive retail and commercial banking services across its primary market area within approximately fifty miles of Princeton, New Jersey, encompassing portions of Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Ocean, and Somerset Counties in New Jersey, as well as select areas in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania, and the New York City metropolitan area. The bank operates thirty-three branches and offers traditional deposit products including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit, alongside a full suite of lending services.
The loan portfolio consists primarily of commercial real estate and multifamily loans, which represent approximately seventy-four percent of total loans outstanding. Additional lending segments include construction loans at approximately eleven and a half percent of the portfolio, residential first-lien mortgage loans at nine percent, commercial and industrial loans at four percent, and home equity and consumer loans at one and a half percent. The company maintains an investment securities portfolio of available-for-sale and held-to-maturity securities to support liquidity needs and generate additional interest income.
Princeton Bancorp has pursued strategic growth through acquisitions, including Noah Bank in May 2023 and Cornerstone Financial Corporation in August 2024, both of which were merged into The Bank of Princeton. The company transitioned from a standalone bank to a holding company structure in January 2023 to facilitate future growth and regulatory compliance.
