Priority serves approximately 1.8 million customer accounts and processes roughly $150 billion in annual transaction activity while administering approximately $1.7 billion in account balances. The company generates revenue primarily from payment processing transactions, monthly services, and interest income from customer account balances held in partner banks.

The company operates through three primary business segments. Merchant Solutions provides full-service acquiring and payment-enabled solutions for business-to-consumer transactions through a proprietary software platform distributed via independent sales organizations, direct sales, and vertically focused independent software vendor channels. Payables offers accounts payable automation solutions to corporations, software partners, and financial institutions including Citibank, Visa, and Mastercard, with flagship products including the CPX platform and Plastiq suite of services. Treasury Solutions provides embedded finance and banking-as-a-service solutions enabling software partners and business platforms to integrate payment and treasury capabilities into their customer experiences.

Priority's technology platform, known as the Priority Commerce Engine, includes the MX product suite featuring MX Connect and MX Merchant applications that provide merchants and resellers with payment processing, business management, and value-added services. The company maintains money transmission licenses in forty-six U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and two U.S. territories, enabling it to offer comprehensive financial services.

Founded in 2005, Priority has grown to become the fifth-largest non-bank merchant acquirer in the United States by volume. The company employs 1,200 full-time employees operating from headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia, with regional offices in New York, Chattanooga, Raleigh, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, and Chandigarh, India. Priority maintains relationships with approximately 1,100 distribution partners including independent sales organizations, financial institutions, independent software vendors, and value-added resellers. The company partners with multiple sponsor banks and processors to deliver comprehensive payment solutions across all major U.S. economic sectors.
