Pure Cycle Corporation (NASDAQ: PCYO) operates as a diversified water and wastewater service provider, land developer, and single-family home rental company serving the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area and surrounding regions. The company website is www.purecyclecorp.com.
The company operates through three primary business segments. The water and wastewater services segment provides wholesale water and wastewater services to local governmental entities and commercial customers across the eastern Denver metropolitan region, with the Rangeview Metropolitan District serving as its largest customer. Pure Cycle owns or controls approximately 30,602 acre-feet of water rights comprising tributary surface water, non-tributary groundwater, and designated groundwater, along with approximately 26,000 acre-feet of adjudicated reservoir capacity. The company serves more than 1,600 single-family equivalent water connections and 1,153 wastewater connections, with capacity to serve approximately 2,500 residential equivalent units. Revenue sources include monthly metered water usage fees, wastewater treatment fees, water and wastewater tap connection fees, construction and facility funding fees, and industrial water sales for oil and gas operations.
The land development segment focuses on Sky Ranch, a 930-acre master planned community located along the I-70 corridor approximately 16 miles east of downtown Denver. Sky Ranch is zoned for up to 3,200 homes and over two million square feet of commercial, retail, and light industrial space. As of August 31, 2025, the company had delivered 1,169 finished lots to homebuilders, with 204 lots under construction and 148 additional lots planned for future delivery. Homebuilders have constructed and sold 837 homes at Sky Ranch.
The single-family rental segment represents the company's newest business line, with 14 homes currently owned and rented, five townhomes coming online in fall 2025, and plans to expand to over 200 rental homes at Sky Ranch over the coming years. The company has accumulated valuable water rights and land interests over more than 30 years, positioning itself as a vertically integrated operator that controls water resources, develops land, and provides ongoing utility services to its communities.
