What RadNet, Inc. does
In the company’s own words
RadNet Inc. (NASDAQ: RDNT) operates as the largest provider of freestanding, fixed-site outpatient diagnostic imaging services in the United States, based on number of centers and annual imaging revenue. Founded in 1985, the company maintains its website at www.radnet.com and operates 418 imaging centers across Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Texas, and New York as of December 31, 2025.
The company's primary business segment, Imaging Centers, provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, positron emission tomography, nuclear medicine, mammography, ultrasound, diagnostic radiology, and fluoroscopy. The vast majority of RadNet's centers offer multi-modality imaging services, enabling patients and referring physicians to access multiple procedure types at single locations. This diversified approach reduces revenue exposure to reimbursement changes in any specific modality and strengthens relationships with payors and referring physicians.
RadNet's Digital Health segment, anchored by its DeepHealth, Inc. subsidiary, develops and deploys artificial intelligence-powered health informatics solutions. This segment includes acquisitions of Aidence Holding B.V. and Quantib B.V. in the Netherlands, as well as ICAD Inc. and CIMAR. The Digital Health portfolio comprises 22 FDA-cleared and 15 CE-marked solutions, including the DeepHealth OS cloud-native operating system and eRad's RIS/PACS informatics platform designed for outpatient radiology. The company serves over 2,000 customers globally through this division.
Internationally, RadNet operates The HLH Imaging Group Limited, a majority-owned subsidiary providing teleradiology services within the United Kingdom's National Health Service framework.
As of December 31, 2025, RadNet employed 8,844 full-time, 432 part-time, and 1,988 per diem employees, including 222 full-time and 88 part-time physicians and 2,835 full-time technologists. The company operates 2,703 pieces of diagnostic imaging equipment across its centers, with average equipment ages under five years for MRI and CT units and under four years for PET units. RadNet's competitive advantages include its regional network density, multi-modality service offerings, strong payor relationships, experienced radiologist network, and technologically advanced operations powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
