RLYB116 is a differentiated complement component 5 (C5) inhibitor designed as a once-weekly, subcutaneously injected therapy that can be self-administered via autoinjector. The molecule combines an Affibody scaffold with an albumin binding domain to enable rapid, complete, and sustained C5 inhibition. The company has completed two Phase 1 clinical trials demonstrating improved tolerability following manufacturing process enhancements and confirmation of complete and sustained terminal complement inhibition. RLYB116 is being developed for multiple complement-mediated diseases, with initial focus on immune platelet transfusion refractoriness and refractory antiphospholipid syndrome, representing significant unmet medical needs affecting tens of thousands of patients annually across major markets.
